The class will include traditional yoga poses (asanas). In Yoga Stretch we move slowly through the positions, holding some for a minute or more.
This is done to work on lengthening the muscle to increase strength, flexibility and relaxation.
Yoga is a mindfulness practice. We will incorporate breath, concentration, focus and meditation into our routine.
The class will last for 55 minutes. There will be time after the class for gathering together for discussion and input to create a practice that is meaningful to everyone attending.
Bring a yoga mat or a blanket. A strap or yoga blocks or boosters are optional. For those who prefer to not sit on the floor, using a chair will be an option.
$10 donation is requested, but all are welcome regardless of ability to pay.
