“A true partner or friend is one who encourages you
to look deep inside yourself
for the beauty and love you’ve been seeking."

LEARN MORE
The Mindfulness Community of Milwaukee has been practicing together since September 1993,
and has had a freestanding practice center since November 1998.
We are an open community and are open to having anyone, no matter what their background or experience is, practice with us. If you are new to the practice, or would like more information please don’t hesitate to contact us. The best way would be to contact me at paul.norton@milwaukeemindfulness.com.
“Mindfulness, as taught and practiced since the time of Buddha,
means dwelling fully in the present moment,
aware of what is going on within and around us.
Mindfulness helps us take care of
and improve the situation of our lives and our society."
– COMMUNITY OF MINDFUL LIVING
OUR MISSION
Bringing a Positive Aspect
to Our Lives
Our purpose is not to make ourselves feel better about what we do but to bring positive change to a situation by doing what we do uniquely, with mindfulness and compassion.
You are invited to work with us to transform ourselves and transform the world.
Land Acknowledgement Statement
We acknowledge that our sangha gathering place in Milwaukee is situated on the traditional land of the Potawatomi, Menominee, and Ho-Chunk people. In gratitude, we bow to elders both past and present of these nations. We bow to them and to other indigenous peoples who have lived on this land for a long time, who know the way to live in peace and harmony with nature by protecting the forests, waters, animals, vegetation, and minerals of the land. We vow to recognize the continued sovereignty of the Potawatomi, Menominee, Ho-Chunk, Anishinaabe, Oneida and Mohican people and to assist them in preserving and protecting their ancestral lands for future generations. Finally, we vow to contribute our part in transforming wrong historical perceptions about the land and its people that lie deep in the consciousness of this society.
